Truly thrilled to be awarded Runner Up prize in the ‘Scottish Landscape Photographer of The Year 2021’ Seascape section with my picture 'The Blue Hour - Isle Of Harris'. It will be published in this years SLPOTY book and displayed at a major exhibition. The annual competition includes some truly superb images taken from some of the most beautiful and stunning places Scotland has to offer. Pictures were submitted from photographers based all over the world earlier this year and I am honoured to receive such an award in the company of some of the best seascape photographers in UK and overseas. My image, taken in the ‘blue hour’ just after sunset in mid-March 2020 was captured just before lockdown and for me evokes a real sense of tranquillity and serenity which the Outer Hebrides has to offer. It’s a 213 second long exposure captured with the use of the Lee Filters ProGlass IRND 10 stop filter.
